In addition to celebrating the rich and diverse traditions of South Asia, Rangila raises thousands of dollars every year for South Asian charities. This year, Rangila is partnering with The HOPE Foundation based in Bangladesh to raise funds throughout the semester and during the Rangila showcase. Rangila’s mission is to support these organizations in their efforts to address critical issues such as hunger, education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation. Rangila continues to rely on corporate sponsorships and the power of community to meaningfully contribute to organizations working to better lives in South Asia. In Fall of 2024, Rangila raised over $81,000 for its philanthropic partner, Little Sisters Fund, an education, mentoring, and community support nonprofit for at-risk girls in Nepal .

The HOPE Foundation

The HOPE Foundation for Women and Children of Bangladesh is a humanitarian nonprofit dedicated to improving maternal and child health outcomes in underserved and marginalized communities of Bangladesh. Founded in 1999, HOPE operates multiple hospitals, rural health clinics, and mobile medical units across the Cox’s Bazar district—southeastern part of the country and home to the world’s largest refugee camp.

Each year, HOPE provides life-saving health services to over 200,000 people, with a particular focus on safe childbirth, newborn care, and reproductive health. HOPE’s mission is to ensure that every woman and child has access to respectful, high-quality care regardless of socio-economic status.
